Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) is a blockage and narrowing of the blood vessels in your limbs, most commonly causing decreased blood flow in your legs. PVD often occurs as a result of other diseases and conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. There is a strong correlation between PVD and the development of more serious heart diseases. That’s why early detection is key. increase your quality of life and significantly reduce the chances of developing serious heart disease, limb amputation or death.

Board-certified and fellowship-trained physicians from UF Health lead the program, with a location in the Lohman Building on the main campus of Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, as well as a location in Deltona.

Robert Feezor, MD

Medical Director, Board-certified Vascular Surgeon

Robert J. Feezor, MD, FACS, FSVS, RPVI, is a vascular surgeon who is board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery.

Dr. Feezor’s clinical interests include open surgical and endovascular treatment of aortic diseases, peripheral and visceral occlusive disease and dialysis access creation and maintenance.

For Dr. Feezor, the most important part of treating his patients is an understanding with the patient and his or her family regarding the patient’s wishes. He believes that having a firm understanding of these wishes is paramount to quality patient care.

Michael Yacoub, MD

Board-certified Vascular Surgeon

Dr. Yacoub is a board-certified vascular surgeon, Dr. Yacoub’s clinical interests include open and endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms and aortic dissection, minimally invasive treatment of thoracoabdominal aneurysms using fenestrated-branched endografts, and open treatment of mesenteric occlusive disease.

Felipe Cadavid, MD

Vascular Surgeon

Felipe Cadavid, MD, graduated summa cum laude from University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in biology. A graduate of Florida State University College of Medicine, Cadavid completed his general surgery residency at University of Florida College of Medicine and his vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has won numerous awards and honors and has teaching experience. Cadavid is an avid collector of vinyl albums, CDs and digital music. He is a guitar player and collector and also enjoys playing the ukulele, organ, synthesizer and electronic drums. He enjoys outdoor pastimes such as skeet, trap and sporting clays.
